Share a point cloud as one file, no software to install

A surveyor's scan should not need the surveyor's software to look at. Drop the .e57 or .las here and get one HTML file back that opens on any laptop, on site or in a meeting, with the internet off.

.e57 / .las → one .htmlcolour and real coordinates

Formats

  • .e57, .las, .laz, .pts and .xyz convert on the free tier with no account, watermarked, so you can judge the result first.
  • With tokens the same scan creates clean and unlocked, at 50 tokens per creation whatever the file size.
  • Have an .rcs or .rcp? Those are Autodesk's derived formats and cannot be read; send the surveyor's original .e57 or .las instead.

What the viewer keeps

  • The points with their scan colour (or intensity when there is none), drawn at a density a browser can move smoothly; very dense scans are thinned evenly rather than clipped.
  • The real coordinates, so measurements are in the scan's own units and match the survey.
  • Levels, when the scan is combined with a model that has them, so a floor can be viewed on its own.

Scan and model together

Drop the scan together with the design model -- an IFC, or a DXF -- and they align into one viewer. Sections, measuring and pinned comments then work across both, which is how an as-built check or a clash review gets done without anyone installing anything.

Size

The website takes point-cloud files up to the limit shown on the Create page (150 MB for a paid creation, 45 MB on the free tier at the time of writing). For larger scans, export a region or thin the cloud in the survey software first; the viewer is for reviewing and sharing, not for archiving the raw capture.

How it works

  • Drop the file on the Create page. No account is needed for the open formats; Revit, DWG and Navisworks need an account with tokens.
  • A minute or so later you download one HTML file. That file is the whole viewer: the geometry, the properties, the tools.
  • Send it. It opens in any modern browser, on a laptop, a tablet or a phone, with nothing to install and no login. It works with the internet switched off.

What the person you send it to can do

  • Orbit, pan and zoom; select elements and read their properties.
  • Measure distances, angles and diameters with snapping.
  • Cut sections, walk through at eye height, save views.
  • Pin comments and markups, then export a review report or spreadsheet back to you.

Examples

Made by the service. Open the viewer in a new tab, or download it beside the model it came from.

Try it on your own model

Open formats convert free with no account; Revit, DWG and Navisworks need an account with tokens. One self-contained HTML file: nothing to install, nothing to host, works offline, small enough to email.
